Answering sensitive questions
Before a visit, staff often ask routine but sensitive questions: antecedentes médicos, alergias, medicamentos, embarazo, current enfermedad or tratamiento. This mission teaches safe answer structures so you can respond calmly and clearly, for example “Tengo alergia a…”, “Tomo un medicamento”, or simply “ninguno”. It does not ask for, store, or interpret your real health data: practice with placeholder words, not your actual conditions. If you’re unsure, it’s always fine to say “Prefiero confirmarlo con calma” or to ask the question to be repeated. The real, accurate version of these answers belongs only in the conversation with your doctor.

- tratamiento: treatment Used to ask if you’re already under treatment.
Useful phrases
- Tengo alergia a…: I am allergic to [allergen]… Flag an allergy when asked.
- Tomo un medicamento.: I take a [medication]. Say that you’re on a medication.
- No tengo antecedentes importantes.: I don't have important medical history. Give a clean, simple answer.
- Prefiero confirmarlo con calma.: I prefer to confirm that carefully. Buy time instead of guessing.
- ¿Puede repetir la pregunta, por favor?: Can you repeat the question, please? Make sure you understood before answering.
