After the visit: documents
At the end of a visit there is often paperwork to sort out: a receta to take to the pharmacy, an informe summarizing what happened, a date for your control, and sometimes reposo or a baja médica for work. For payment and insurance you may also want a factura or a comprobante. This mission helps you ask for those explanations and documents clearly. Importantly, the app never tells you how to take a medication: ask the doctor or pharmacist “¿Cómo debo tomarlo?” and follow the written receta. Keep your informe, recetas, and facturas together, you’ll often need them at the next control.
Essential vocabulary
- receta: prescription The slip you take to the pharmacy.
- informe: report A written summary of the visit.
- control: follow-up appointment Know when to come back.
- reposo: rest / medical leave Ask if rest or leave is advised.
- comprobante: proof / receipt Paperwork you may need to keep.
Bolivian Spanish terms
- baja médica: medical leave note The note your employer may require.
- factura: invoice Official invoice; ask for it for insurance or taxes.

- ¿Necesito factura o comprobante?: Do I need an invoice or proof? Sort out paperwork for insurance or work.
- ¿Me puede explicar la receta?: Can you explain the prescription to me? Have the doctor clarify, not the app.
