In Bolivia the denuncia is the official document recording what happened. It's the piece of paper your travel insurance and your embassy will ask for, so obtaining a copy is the whole practical point of the visit.
The report you filed at the Policía Turística in the previous chapter is the linchpin document here: both the travel insurer and the embassy ask for it first. Keep the original and a photo of it.
