How it is used in Bolivia

Friendly and everyday: a changuito is a little one, and 'los changos' can be the kids of the house or the teenagers of the neighbourhood. The diminutive makes it warmer still.

The ASALE dictionary records it in Bolivia and north-west Argentina. Elsewhere in Latin America 'chango' can mean a monkey, so keep this sense for Bolivian conversations.
