How it is used in Bolivia

Bolivia's most elastic word for time, famously stretchy, and everyone knows it: it can mean now, a minute, hours, next week or 'when I get to it'. A handy, warm way to answer a timing question without pinning down a date.

Sincere but elastic: 'nos vemos ahorita' means very soon, not on the second. Bolivian plans run on these warm markers; the anchor is the clock time you both confirmed, and the professional move is pinning it politely, not taking it literally. In a goodbye it is friendly and non-committal, not a firm promise to return.

Heard everywhere in Bolivian Spanish, and load-bearing in a trufi: '¿cuánto se tarda ahorita?' pins the timing question to this hour's traffic, the honest way to ask about something no app can promise in advance.
