How it is used in Bolivia

A warm, very Bolivian usted invitation: come in, go right ahead. You will hear it at every door and at many receptions in Sucre, or when someone waves you toward the breakfast room. It means you are welcome, but agreeing on a day and a time slot still helps.

'Nomás' softens whatever it touches, like 'just' or 'go ahead', a tiny word doing hospitality work: it turns an instruction into a warm invitation, and does not mean 'only' here. At a window it simply means it is your turn.
